"GET RICH FROM HOME"
You may or may not have seen these sorts of video ads on Facebook, Youtube and Instagram of "marketing gurus" selling digital marketing courses such as SEO, dropshipping, and selling on online. I for sure have, and actually signed up to watch a few free webinars out of my own interest and curiosity.
Dropshipping is what I really want to focus on as I have stumbled across many marketing gurus advertising their online program on how to earn money through dropshipping. If you're wondering what drop shipping is, it is a business model that allows a shop to sell products by purchasing from a manufacturer or supplier and sending it directly to the consumers. It is a safer way to sell as you don't require any stock on hand. However, there is a negative side to this and that is, difficult to return products, longer shipping time, poor customer service and less profit.
These gurus who make their money off these courses and from Youtube videos spend thousands of dollars on advertising costs on social media and other marketing costs which is why they charge much higher than they should. They also fake their credibility claiming that they have earned millions, to make their customers feel like their online programs are worth the money. Seriously, that is over 50 times more expensive than online marketing courses offered on Udemy which only cost around $25!
Although there are people out there who may benefit from these online courses, others have just thrown money down the train. The problem with this is that too many people want to earn quick money without putting in the effort and end up wasting thousands of dollars. To have a thriving online website, you will need to sell quality products, have great customer service and expand marketing knowledge that goes beyond social media.
So please, stop spending thousands of dollars on these self-proclaimed entrepreneurs who have no marketing background because it is easy to fake your credibility especially in the online world! Invest your money on courses from reliable sources and you won't have to waste your money again.
What do you guys think of online marketing gurus? Have you ever purchased from them and was it worth the money?

@Vanessa Kandmani Thanks Vanessa! I agree the internet has many opportunities for marketers but at the same time, it can be dangerous for consumers with many people out there wasting thousands of dollars on useless content.
@Sam Hanlon Hey Sam! Great advice, it is really interesting as there will always be negative and positive reviews on every guru. It is hard to determine whether it will benefit you because everyone is at different stages with their digital marketing skills. It's best to read legitimate reviews and see which one is relatable to you.
@Bahar Kouhzad Hey Bahar, you're right on that one. Drawing conclusions is always important and analysing other reviews that are real rather than paid for. Nowadays, with…
Cool post, Helen! I personally think these so-called "marketing gurus" are dangerous to trust and rely on, especially with your own money. It's interesting to see how so many people are taking advantage of YouTube and boosting their own little businesses, particularly where scamming is involved. My advice to anyone that's interested is also to only seek professionals and qualified marketers with real experience, or just take part in a marketing course to get your time and money's worth.
I'd love if you could check out my latest post and tell me what you think about it here at: https://bkrmitdigitalmarketing.wordpress.com/2020/05/26/social-media-isnt-all-there-is/
Enjoyable read ! I think its definitely easy to get convinced or scammed by a marketing guru, especially one you follow yourself. I think its best to do your research as well as making clear conclusions about the product they are trying to market. I know this could be hard to tell if they have thousands of followers or fake credibility, but you know as good as they do if the product is right for you or a scam.
Great read, i definitely think it's a scam. As soon as a marketing guru says "sponsored" i know immediately that they're going to be biased because they're getting paid to review the brand or product. I've purchase a a Morphe eyeshadow palette because it was all beauty gurus were promoting and yes they were sponsored, but i was happy with the purchase. the quality was fantastic .
